The Wave Bristol was the first inland surfing destination of its kind in the world – and we now want to bring our vision to Enfield.
It has proved a major success since opening in 2019, giving people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to experience the joy and many health benefits of surfing.
The team is led by Founder, Nick Hounsfield, and CEO, Craig Stoddart, who have been working to make The Wave a reality since 2012.
The Wave team has now set their sights on bringing their vision to London, and feel Enfield is the perfect location for this potential opportunity.
Having identified a site just behind the Lee Valley Athletics Centre and within the 26 mile long, 10,000 acre Lee Valley Regional Park and Lee Valley’s Zone of Sporting Excellence, the team now would like to create an incredible asset for local people and Londoners – an oasis of sport, leisure, health & wellbeing and relaxation which we hope will build on Enfield’s reputation as London’s bluest borough.
